KOLKATA: The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) is sending stop-work notices after receiving reports of unauthorised constructions from several pockets of Salt Lake and the Rajarhat-Gopalpur area. BMC mayor Krishna Chakraborty on Wednesday said the civic body is taking all necessary measures as per law on this issue.’There have been reports of illegally constructed structures, and stop-work notices have been sent. All councillors have been asked to report to the police as soon as any complaint of unauthorised construction is made,’ Chakraborty said.
